Every off-season the PDGA listens to its members and tweaks certain rules. This off-season the PDGA implemented bigger than usual changes to their official rules. Many of these are minor tweaks but there are a few that will certainly show up in your competitive rounds. As a result, I have taken the most impactful rules changes and broken them down for you in this article.

Sports have rules. The understanding that all players must compete under the same framework of rules is what allows for fair competition. This is where disc golf sets itself apart from most other sports in that it is self-officiated. There are no officials prowling the course in striped shirts or lurking in the bushes calling infractions.
