Disc Golf Distance Drivers

Disc Golf Distance Drivers are high-speed discs designed to achieve maximum distance on long throws. They feature sharp, aerodynamic rims (usually 2.1 cm or wider) that cut through the air efficiently, allowing skilled players to generate more speed and glide than with fairway drivers or midranges.

What they’re used for:
Distance drivers are typically used for tee shots and long fairway throws where the goal is to cover the most ground possible. They’re ideal for open holes, downhill bombs, or long second shots on par 4s and 5s.

Because of their wide rims and high-speed ratings (usually speed 11–14), distance drivers require greater arm speed and control to fly as intended. Beginners often struggle to get them up to speed, while intermediate and advanced players use them to shape long-distance lines — from max-distance hyzerflips to stable forehand drives.
